Finnish Foreign Trade Decreased in April

(FINNBAY) – Helsinki, 11 June 2014. The preliminary customs statistics show that the value of Finnish exports decreased by five percent and imports by one percent in April 2014 compared with the year before. The value of Finnish exports in April was almost 4,7 billion euros and the value of imports almost five billion euros.

The trade balance showed a deficit of 295 million euros in April 2014. Calculated from January to April there was a deficit of almost 1,1 billion euros.

Under the same period in the year 2013 the balance of trade showed a deficit of 880 million euros. In 2013 the deficit for April was 90 million euros.
